A little over a week ago, my significant other accompanied me for a few client portrait sessions to assist me as needed. During the first session in Chamblee, he disappeared momentarily into an antique shop while I worked and eventually led me back to it. The end result was my walking away with my first (vintage) rangefinder camera, a Yashica Electro 35 GSN. He remembered how much I used to talk about one Yashica in particular, and while this wasn't the same model, I was equally excited to acquire it.
I love how heavy it is in my hands, and I am intrigued by the rangefinder function. I'm waiting on batteries and film to come in, and I cannot wait to try this baby out!! I dabbled with film last year for personal work but I intend to work more seriously with it. I'll be burning through Kodak and Fujifilm in coming months and sharing those with you all.
